Contrast Films + Film Casualty
Contrast Films is a Louisiana-based company of producers and filmmakers. Contrast Films has partnered with companies, such as Vevo, Spotify, Atlantic Records, and Sony, and created music videos for a wide range of emerging and high-profile artists, including Halsey, Brett Young, Demi Lovato, and Khalid. As their website, featuring a reel of their work, explains, Contrast Films offers “creative and logistical support for directors, cinematographers and entertainment-focused organizations around the world.”
With Film Casualty, you really do feel like they are just a phone call or a text away.
Sharing a Common Vision
Film Casualty Insurance Agency and Contrast Films share a common vision. We are here to help filmmakers produce successful creative projects in the fast-paced production environment. Jordy Wax, boss and producer at Contrast Films, appreciated Film Casualty’s approach, explaining, “Insurance can be a stuffy industry that feels like there are a ton of rules and things are supposed to be done a certain way, but with Film Casualty, you really do feel like they are just a phone call or a text away.”
A No-Brainer Choice
Jordy chose Film Casualty because of how this agency grasps both the insurance side of production and the actual process of producing videos. “It’s a specialized product that you are looking for when you start talking about production insurance,” Jordy said. “In the past, we’ve worked with other insurances that were able to track down the product, but maybe, those brokers didn’t understand all of the ins and outs of what we were actually up to on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis.” Jordy values how Film Casualty “understands how we’re running our business,” saying, “I didn’t have to explain every little thing about how to make a video when it was time to start talking about what our needs were.”

Confident in Coverage & Compliance
Working with Film Casualty, the team at Contrast Films has a comprehensive policy covering a DICE/Annual Productions. The policy covers many of insurable risks that Contrast is exposed to on film sets.
Getting Coverage was Easy
In addition to understanding the production business, Contrast Films appreciates Film Casualty’s responsiveness. “It’s customer service that only a small, personal relationship will get you,” Jordy said. He described how a previous insurance agency he’d worked with had shut down in the early evening and become unreachable once their office hours ended. In the fast-moving production environment, Contrast Films needed an equally fast-moving agency they could count on outside of regular office hours. “Just last week, I sent Film Casualty an email that we needed a specific certificate that only they could process, and they was able to do it overnight,” Jordy said. “I went to bed, and when I woke up the next morning, it was sitting in my inbox.”
An Important Part of the Film Casualty Customer Community
